Hi, and thank you for reading! My name is Ruthie Baigent and I am based in Penzance, Cornwall.I work with biodynamic psychotherapy and IFS (Internal Family Systems) taking a spiritual approach to body work and accompaniment.
My role is to be present and attentive to what is happening in the inner world (psyche) of those I work with, to facilitate a space where it is possible to connect deeply and find direction. The meeting of our inner world, in IFS language, the internal systems of "Self" (or Soul) and "Parts" has transformational power. My role is guide, accompanier and facilitator, I do not diagnose or prescribe. The work is powerful, yet gentle and respectful. The pace, content and direction is guided by you, the client. This is a sacred journey we travel together, founded on a relationship of trust. Sessions are organised in a series of 6-8, generally weekly, with review, and long term work is possible. I have been practicing as a Biodynamic therapist for over 13 years, am registered with the Association of Biodynamic Massage Therapists (ABMT), abide by all their regulations, including supervision and insurance, and my ABMT directory entry can be found here. I work with all kinds of people, charge £80 per session, and offer a sliding scale of payment so that those who are struggling financially can afford to come. My training is with the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre (2012) and IFS OneSelf Institute (2025). In Biodynamic Therapy, the client is free to be themselves, to feel, and bring whatever needs to be present. And that is where we start from. Acceptance and exploration are key to this work.
